Three books I must track down right after I attend Laurie Lewis’ pricing seminar in NYC:
NASA TV
This is just about the coolest thing. I used to get completely transfixed by the NASA TV downlink when I worked at WITF in Harrisburg. We downlinked it and rebroadcasted it over our educational channels. It seemed like every time I’d walk through the tech center, there would be something obscenely cool on the monitor and I’d have to stop and stare. Often for extended periods of time. There’s just nothing that can compare to the inexorable grace of a slowly moving satellite image — or the perverse peeping-tom aspect of watching the people in mission control. All those incomprehensible monitors.
And then I realize that Comcast switches the horse-racing channel over to NASA TV in the mornings. Sweet! It’s perfect geeky background noise.
And _then_ I realize that NASA webcasts NASA TV. At that point, I realize I must share my joy: NASA TV.
